May. 11th, 2008 02:22 pm some BAWTOF and other pictures now uploaded On Friday night I served as part of the entourage for my friend Coral's BAWTOF team (short for Bi-Annual World Tour of Funk). Essentially, it's a pub crawl for charity, where people form themed teams of 6 and complete various tasks including a certain number of drinks.
I was made into the team's mascot at the second bar, partly due to my costume and prop contributions. I didn't drink at all until I had half a glass of PBR at the last bar. Yet I definitely experienced a feeling of altered consciousness and did many silly things, none of which I regret one bit. The costume alone contributed a lot to my increased bravado. But, then again, I don't have many inhibitions to begin with.

All in all, BAWTOF was much more fun than I could have ever imagined, and if I'm around next year, I hope that Coral will have me as a mascot again. :)

| May. 11th, 2008 10:12 pm This weekend began and ended incredibly well. The middle was okay too.
But I began on Friday by having a complete blast at BAWTOF and ended by having a really nice night with Tim.
He and I have gotten much closer lately. And I think we will continue to grow closer.
I know he's going to the Phillipines, but going abroad doesn't always make someone grow distant from you as I have learned from my experience with Lee. And I know that he will have an experience there that will help him in life. Plus, well, I've kind of gotten used to this "man I love going away" type deal. I sometimes joke that I run a program where I find men, jar them out of their normal life, and then sleep with them until they're inspired to leave the country.
But they come back too. 2 months til Lee comes back; 3 months til Tim leaves.
No one can accuse me of leading a boring life.
I kind of think I need to make an icon out of one of my new pirate pictures. That's what I would use to represent this post, if I already had it as an option. Leave a comment |
